It’s a bit peculiar. We were lucky enough to be treated to dinner yesterday by the wonderful people at Audible and TreeFort, and we went to Nobu, which is an amazing Japanese restaurant. And directly in front of Nobu was a massive 100 foot Rings of Power thing. I sat looking at these characters for the rest of the night and said to the guys, “This is a little weird.” It’s strange to see.

I wish him the best of luck. I hope it goes well, and especially for the actors, because I lean towards the actors. I hope you have fun. I hope they don’t feel the pressure of expectation or what had happened with the Peter Jackson trilogy. I hope they just think, “This is a great job, I’ve made some great friends, I hope it continues,” and embrace it, because these kinds of jobs, the jobs that end up being the best jobs you’ve ever done, can be gone in the blink of an eye. and close your eyes. You can say, “Oh, I’m going to do this for years,” and all of a sudden, three years go by, and you’re like, “What, where did that go?” And it’s done.

I hope they enjoy it, I hope they have fun, I hope it’s a huge success.
