An Ohio congressman is demanding answers about the FBI raid on former President Trump’s estate Monday morning.
Sources tell Fox News that the FBI executed a search warrant to find documents that President Trump allegedly moved to Florida after he left the White House in January 2021.
The attack – which has sparked outrage from supporters of the former president – has also caught the attention of at least one member of the House Intelligence Committee.
Rep. Mike Turner, R-Ohio, wrote a letter to FBI Director Christopher Wray demanding an “immediate” briefing on the matter.

“I am not aware of any actual or perceived threat to national security posed by any information, data or documents in former President Trump’s possession,” Rep. Turner said in a letter Monday.
“Congress deserves immediate answers from you about the actions you ordered,” continued Rep. Turner. “You hereby request an immediate briefing from the members of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence on any national security threats used to justify your decision.”

“I am exceptionally skeptical that this is anything other than politically motivated,” the congressman tweeted Monday night. “There are serious questions about the FBI’s unprecedented raid that reportedly sought classified materials at former President Trump’s residence.”
According to protocol, FBI Director Wray would have been aware of the attack and given a full briefing about it.

The concern about the former president’s documents was transferred to the Department of Justice by the National Archives and Records Administration. The agency alleges it found classified material in 15 boxes at the residence.
