Oleksandr Usyk seems to have stepped up

Two weeks before his rematch with Anthony Joshua, Oleksandr Usyk appears to be in ferocious form.

The 35-year-old Ukrainian fighter has been sharing pictures online of his training ahead of the August 20 fight.

Meanwhile, a new British boxing star is being born at the Commonwealth Games and Jake Paul v KSI could be on the way next year.

These are just some of the points boxing fans have been debating online this week.

Usyk is definitely not a cruiserweight anymore

Joshua, 32, will be hoping for revenge after losing his WBA (Super), IBF and WBO titles to Usyk in London last September.

However, the Ukrainian, who previously held the cruiserweight title, appears to have strengthened quite significantly.

We know Usyk has a motor. This new added weight could pose a problem for AJ.

However, it seems as if AJ is also quite ready for the challenge.

Golden Delicious

On Sunday at the Commonwealth Games, England’s Delicious Orie won the men’s super heavyweight gold in front of a local audience.

Orie was born in Russia but grew up in Wolverhampton after his family moved to England when he was a child. They call him the “new Anthony Joshua”.

He had an inspiring message for fans after his win.

The ultimate YouTube battle

Saturday was to see Jake Paul take on pro boxer Hasim Rahman Jr at Madison Square Garden. That fight was interrupted, however, by a dispute over weight.

Paul insists Rahman Jr, who himself replaced Tommy Fury, acted unprofessionally, with no intention of making weight.

Meanwhile, 31-year-old Rahman Jr has posted a video of himself weighing 206lbs, just a pound above the weight they were meant to fight at.

Meanwhile, it appears a deal may have been struck for a future feud between Paul and British YouTube star KSI.

KSI previously beat Paul’s brother Logan, with whom he had an ongoing feud.

low blow

And finally, former lightweight champion Jamel Herring doesn’t know how to take this tweet.
