A new trailer for Cyberpunk: Edgerunners promises non-stop frenetic NSFW action. Netflix’s upcoming 10-episode Japanese anime series follows David Martinez (Kenichiro Ohashi), a street youth from Arroyo, Santo Domingo who tries to survive in the dystopian metropolis known as Night City. With Lucy (Aoi Yûki), a Netrunner, David becomes an outlaw, a mercenary also known as a cyberpunk. Rafał Jaki is the showrunner of the series, produced by Studio Trigger (Academy of the Little Witch, prom) with Kill la KillHiroyuki Imaishi took over directing.
Netflix recently released a new trailer for Cyberpunk: Edgerunners. After a brief discussion where Lucy asks David about his dreams, the flashy frenetic trailer promises intense bloody cyberpunk action with David saying, “Either you lose your mind or you die, not in between.” The trailer features stark images of violence and nudity in a kaleidoscopic video of blood and cybernetic. Cyberpunk: Edgerunners is a spin-off of the controversial but popular action role-playing video game Cyberpunk 2077 from Polish video game developer CD Projekt Red, the creator of the critically acclaimed The Sorcerer series The sci-fi game places the player in the body of a fully customizable player named V, who becomes embroiled in a winding story of deception as he explores the depths of the underworld of Night City, an open world adapted from 1988. Cyberpunk Tabletop RPG by Mike Pondsmith. Cyberpunk: Edgerunners so far it looks like an energetic and well-animated adaptation, and it’ll be interesting to see what longtime fans have to say when it hits Netflix.
