Omar, D-Minn., said McCarthy’s pledge was just another example of Republicans targeting her.
“Since the moment I was elected, the Republican Party has made it their mission to use fear, xenophobia, Islamophobia and racism to get me into the House and through millions of dollars in campaign ads.” , Omar said. “McCarthy’s effort to repeatedly single me out for contempt and hatred, including threatening to remove me from my committee, does nothing to address the issues our constituents are dealing with. It does nothing to address the inflation, health care or solving the climate crisis”.
