In a new Star Wars: Revelations preview, Darth Vader gets a potential glimpse of the future, including a dark turn for Sabé, the Queen’s Shadow.
This post contains a preview for a Star Wars: Revelations #1Marvel Comics and War of the galaxies have released a new preview for Star Wars: Revelationsa new one-shot that we will see Darth Vader gaining massive insight into the future, including her dark corruption of the Queen’s Shadow. Although Sabé, Padmé Amidala’s main decoy and handmaiden, has been trying to redeem Darth Vader to the man he once was, her plan seems to have backfired in recent issues. Now, the Webbish Bog Eye will show a potential path where the Queen’s shadow will fully turn to the dark side, becoming Vader’s shadow in the coming issues.
Effectively acting as an in-universe preview of what War of the galaxies fans can look forward to 2023 Marvel Comics, Star Wars Revelations will see Darth Vader summoned by the Eye of Webbish Bog, a creature connected to the dark side of the Force that lives on Mustafar (near the Dark Lord’s stronghold). Although Darth Vader has had dealings with the Eye in the past, revelations will see the Dark Lord of the Sith receive a very important insight into the things that were and the things that may happen through the various Marvel series. To this end, Star Wars: Revelations #1 by Marc Guggenheim and a collection of several War of the galaxies artists will see the eye showing Vader what’s coming in series like the primary War of the galaxies comic, Yoda, Han Solo and Chewbacca, Bounty Hunters, Hidden Empirei Darth Vader. As such, the new preview sees the Eye reveal to the Dark Lord that Padmé’s other surviving handmaidens will come together to destroy Vader and save Sabé (as confirmed in the most recent issue). However, they also tease that Sabé will gain a dark armor of her own. Here are the preview pages and synopsis for the next issue:

Interestingly, Sabe’s new outfit appears to be inspired by Darth Vader’s combination of Republic-era clone trooper armor. As such, it’s certainly a bold and imposing aesthetic that implies her total corruption and service to the Empire, something her fellow handmaidens cannot allow in the name of Padmé’s legacy. That said, only time will tell if Sabé donning this new dark armor will actually happen or if this is a path that can still be avoided.
Either way, From Darth Vader It is very likely that the new vision will inform how it will operate as the future becomes the present. What could he learn about his son Luke and the Rebels? What about Lady Qi’ra and Crimson Dawn’s current war with the Empire? clearly, War of the galaxies fans won’t want to miss this upcoming one-shot. The full Star Wars: Revelations #1 is released on November 23 from Marvel Comics.
