What happens next to Luthen and Andor
Notice! This article contains spoilers for Andor Season 1.I gor Season 1 ended with Andor and Luthen reuniting, leading to many questions about what happens to the duo in the eventual Andor season 2 AndorCassian’s first three-episode arc introduced Luthen, who has begun building the new Rebel Alliance alongside Mon Mothma. After enlisting Cassian’s help in Aldhani’s work, much of it Andor Season 1 has revolved around Luthen’s attempts to kill Cassian to tie up loose ends, with of Andor season finale subverting this and making the titular character fully join Luthen’s cause.
This team massively shapes the history of Andor season 2, as well as what happens to the two individual characters. From things that are more widely known War of the galaxies canon, aspects hinted at in Season 1, and knowing where the Rebel Alliance is at the time Rogue One takes place, one can reasonably speculate as to where the duo fits in of Andor sophomore season Andor is known to have survived to the end Rogue Onegiving Luthen a more ambiguous future, although it is clear that the two should be instrumental in the creation of the Rebel Alliance in Andor season 2
Luthen and Cassian will help properly start the rebellion in Andor
One thing that Andor The first season made it clear that the Rebellion is in its early stages. As also explored in Star Wars: Rebels, the Rebellion only consists of disparate rebel cells at this point in the timeline. Luthen, along with Mon Mothma, is trying to unite these rebel cells by strengthening the Empire’s control, generating acts of rebellion through the Empire’s suffocation. However, at the end of Andor in season 1, both Luthen and Mon Mothma have their own problems, which means that the Rebel Alliance is not yet formed.
With Andor joining Luthen at the end of Andor season 1, it can be inferred that the former plays a much larger role in the actual formation of the Rebellion than previously thought. Given as Andor Season 2 is expected to take place during the four years between Season 1 and Rogue One, and the official formation of the Rebellion in 2ABY thanks to Mon Mothma, both Luthen and Andor are likely to play a pivotal role. As Mothma’s role in the formation of the Rebellion is shown from her side in the Star Wars: Rebels timeline, Andor could establish other elements in play at that time through Luthen and Andor.
What happens next to Cassian Andor (before Rogue One)
One thing is known to happen to Cassian between Andor season 1 i Rogue One is his meeting with K-2SO. This meeting was shown in a one-shot comic and will likely be adapted Andor season 2 given its place in the timeline and Gilroy’s teasing about K-2SO’s possible appearance on the show. This meeting took place on a planet called Wecacoe, to which Cassian is sent to retrieve Imperial intelligence. During the mission, Cassian and his allies are confronted by KX-series security droids. Cassian manages to subdue one of them, erase its memory and obtain the Imperial data, with the droid becoming the familiar K-2SO of Rogue One.
Will Luthen die in Andor season 2?
Arguably the biggest question about Luthen’s character a Andor The second season is whether he will live to see the end. Of all the characters presented in Andor season 1, only Cassian, Mon Mothma, Saw Gerrera, and Melshi are known to survive until the events of Rogue One. Luthen, however, is more of a mystery, which is interesting given his integral role in the show. Because Luthen is an original creation by Andor which is apparently integral to the base of the Rebellion which is shown further a Rogue One and the original trilogy, it will most likely die at some point Andor season 2
While the showrunners could make the decision to simply drop Luthen, the themes of the show, as well as Luthen’s spectacular monologue in Andor episode 10 – make it more likely that he will be killed. Andor it’s much more mature War of the galaxies It shows more than anyone who has come before, and Luthen is obviously resigned to fighting for a sunrise he’ll never see. All of this suggests that Luthen dies fighting the Empire Andor season 2: Something he correctly predicted would happen to his new teammate Cassian at the start of season 1.
