With season 3 of Demon Slayer scheduled for 2023, the popular show has once again become one of the most anticipated releases of the coming year.
Season 2 was similarly anticipated by the community, and the action-packed scenes with beautiful animation did not disappoint. In addition to animation, Demon Slayer it has a fantastic cast of characters with different personalities. Each Enneagram type is correctly represented by one Demon Slayer character or another.
1: The Reformer – Shinobu
Shinobu is one of the two Hashira more popular than Tanjiro, the other being Giyuu. The insect Hashira is one of the fastest characters in the show.
Shinbou fits the Enneagram 1 Reformer moniker well. He is constantly in battle within his own morality about how Hashira should behave with demons. His sister, Kanae, took pity on the demons and hoped that some would be able to live in peace with humans. Shinobu’s moral dilemma of mixing her own principles with honoring her sister’s legacy makes her one of the most fascinating characters in the series.
2: The Helper – Mitsuri
Mitsuri, the Love Hashira, is slated to be one of the main supporting characters in season 3. She is one of the physically strongest Hashira, which is funny given her height and build compared to the others.
So far, Mitsuri has been shown to be devoted to the idea of love and being loved by her partner Hashira. Almost an extreme example of Enneagram 2, The Helper, Mitsuri is this to the core. He is dedicated to his team and all he really wants in return is love and friendship. In a way, she is the most selfless and selfish Hashira.
3: The Achiever – Daki and Gyutaro
Daki and Gyutaro are two of the best minor villains demon slayer, until now, and the pair are surprisingly similar despite their occasional sibling squabbles.
Daki and Gyutaro seem to appreciate their achievements. While there are many healthy examples of Enneagram 3s in the media, Daki and Gyutaro may be taking The Achiever moniker too far. The number of Hashiras they’ve killed, Gyutaro’s increased status for having a beautiful sister, and Daki’s status with Muzan are central factors in the brother’s backstories.
4: The individualist – Kanao
Kanao and Tanjiro are arguably the best couple in Shonen Jump. However, she is also a great character in her own right and is probably the strongest other than Hashira.
Kanao’s enneagram type is interesting because it’s something she struggles with sometimes. Her story is largely about discovering who she truly is. She constantly struggles to find meaning in her life and figure out who she really is. 4’s nickname is The Individualist, and Kanao’s journey to individualism is one of the most exciting parts of Season 1.
5: The Investigator – Giyu
The water Hashira is the most adaptive, and possibly the number one overall, in a sense of all trades. He is also possibly the most important Hashira in history.
Giyu is definitely the more cerebral fighter Demon Slayer, but he has 5 similar qualities apart from his intelligence. Giyu’s greatest tragedy is also related to his own competition: his desire to become stronger after losing his friend Sabito. Giyu’s drive to improve intellectually and in skill makes him perfect for the Enneagram 5 moniker of The Investigator.
6: The Loyal – Zenitsu
The one-trick Demon Slayer Zenitsu is a master of the first form of Thunder Breathing. However, it is the only form he can use properly in combat.
Zenitsu is incredibly powerful when he sleeps, but when he’s awake, he’s mainly focused on two things: finding a woman and his fear of demons. Zenitsu’s anxious, safety-oriented nature makes him a dead 6. He even fits the moniker “loyalist” as he is incredibly devoted to Tanjiro and Nezuko, partly because he wants to marry Nezuko, but also because he is a loyal companion to Zenitsu. the Kamado family.
7: The Enthusiast – Tengen
Tengen Uzui was one of the main supporting characters of Demon Slayer’s second season Sound Hashira made a big impression in his battle with Upper Moon 6, Gyutaro.
Few characters deserve the moniker of “enthusiasts” more than Tengen. Along with his wives, Tengen’s wish is to live a life of peace and freedom after finally defeating a higher ranked demon. He is also an enthusiastic and flashy character who makes as much fun as he can with every situation.
8: The Challenger – Inosuke

Inosuke’s constant need to prove himself against others makes him a perfect Enneagram 8, The Challenger. He is confident, perhaps overly so, in his abilities and tries to show that ability to others at every opportunity. Just like when he challenged Tanjiro to a fight in his debut episode, Inosuke’s confrontational nature never cooled.
9: The Peacemaker – Tanjiro
Tanjiro Kamado is the protagonist of Demon Slayer and the only character to have mastered two different types of breath: water breath and solar breath.
Tanjiro fits the definition of a peacemaker perfectly. He devotes himself to his sister and friends before himself. His main goal is to bring peace back to the world by defeating Muzan and he is willing to sacrifice himself to help restore peace.
