How to catch (and evolve) Tinkatink in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet
Pokemon Scarlet and Violet players can find Tinkatink in the Stone Ruins and evolve the Pokemon into Tinkatuff and Tinkaton.
In Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, there are 107 new Gen 9 Pokémon spread across the Paldea region, one of which is the Fairy/Steel-type creature Tinkatink. Players can find and catch a Tinkatink very early on and will be able to evolve the Pokemon into two advanced forms. Tinkatink can evolve into Tinkatuff or Tinkaton and can be used to great effect against Dark, Dragon, and Ice Pokémon. Additionally, players can restrict their search for a Tinkatink to a specific region to catch the creature quickly, and can evolve their new Pokemon simply by leveling up their Tinkatink.
Regardless of which Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Story players start, they should look for this shiny pink Pokémon in the Southern Province region. The Tinkatink habitat entry confirms that the creature “Lives in Ruins” and several areas of stone ruins are scattered around Paldea where a Tinkatink creature can appear. Players can search the ruins in Area 2 of the Southern Province for a Tinkatink and should use a high-level Poké Ball to increase their chances of successfully catching the Pokémon once they locate it.
What level does Tinkatink evolve into Tinkatuff and Tinkaton?
Once players catch a Tinkatink, they can level up the Pokemon and use three special abilities in battle. Tinkatink can use ‘Moldbreaker’ and ‘Own Tempo’ in addition to the Pokemon’s hidden ability ‘Pickpocket’, which allows Tinkatink to steal an item when hit by another Pokemon. In addition, players can evolve their Tinkatink throughout the process Pokemon Scarlet and Violetthe story of a Tinkatuf once they raise the creature’s level to 24. Tinkatuff uses the same abilities as a Tinkatink, but the second evolved Pokemon will receive a moderate boost to all base stats.
To evolve Tinkatuff into Tinkaton, players must level up their Pokemon again, from level 24 to 38. To level up their Tinkatuff faster, players should place the Pokemon at the head of their party, as this will grant additional experience points for leveling up. Once players trigger this third stage evolution, they can use Tinkaton’s powerful “Gigaton Hammer” move in combat, which has a base attack value of 160 points. Players will also benefit from the Tinkaton’s high special defense and speed stats, as this final evolution could be a favorite in Pokemon Scarlet and VioletPokédex Gen 9.
