Meta Platform’s Instagram went down for thousands of users worldwide on Wednesday, according to outage tracking website Downdetector.com.
More than 46,000 users reported problems accessing the photo-sharing platform in the U.S. at the height of the outage, according to Downdetector, which tracks outages by collecting status reports from various sources, including submitted bugs by users on their platform.
Downdetector showed around 2,000 affected users from the UK and over 1,000 reports each from India and Australia.
Meta did not immediately respond to a Reuters request for comment.
